Produced by Grumman by 1969, as an military observation and attack aircraft, in service during 35 years.
Mainly used by US Army during Vietnam war, it flew many observation flights over Ho Chi Minh trail.
Produced by the swiss factory Pilatus Aircraft, the Porter, in fact Turbo-porter, is a very versatile airplane. Still used by many sky-diving clubs, it was well-known during Vietnam war as a utility airplane, mainly used by Air America and RAAF.
One of the best STOL capabilities.

Vought A-7 D/E Corsair II
Designed between 1962 and 1964 by Vought as carrier-base light attack aircraft, is based on Vought F-8 Crusader naval fighter.
A-7E (naval version) was introduced by US Navy in units in 1967 to replace A-4. USAF has introduced A-7D in units in order to replace several fighter-bomber airplanes : A-1 Skyraider, F-105 Thunderchief and F-100 Super Sabre.
In service during Vietnam war from 1967 (US Navy) to 1973, operated by US carriers, and from Korat ( Thaïland), and Bien Hoa (South-Vietnam) by USAF
Used until 1990 in US forces.

Cessna O-2 Skymaster.
O-2 was military version of Cessna 337 Skymaster, entered in service for USAF in FAC role in 1967, in order to replace Cessna O-1 Bird Dog. It is a twin-engine piston airplane.
He was later replace, during Vietnam war, by the Grumman OV-10 Bronco, but maintained in night mission role. In service until 1990.
