First designed by Chase Aircraft, and built by Fairchild, the C-123K was a Prop. military transport airplane boosted by J85 engines.

Grumman HU-16 Albatross
Designed and built by Grumman as an amphibious airplane. Used in Vietnam to rescue pilots along the coast.
In many rescue missions, crew use M-16 rifle (their only weapons) to protect the downed pilots at sea.

Designed and produced, during 45 years, by Antonov as a light utility transport airplane. It is a very strong airplane, used by many civil and military companies and air forces in dozen of versions.
During Vietnam war, 4 North-Vietnamese Antonov AN-2 have tried to bomb the Lima Site 85, a USAF radar station. 2 of them were attacked by a Air America Huey, and were downed by the Huey crew using sub-machine guns.
